Direct Incentive Program rebates are eligible ONLY for those who meet the following:
  • Certified licensed contractor replacing an existing propane or electric heater(s) or electric heat pump with a qualified natural gas furnace(s)
  • Certified licensed contractor replacing an existing propane or electric water heater(s) with a qualified natural gas water heater(s)
  • Applies ONLY to residential customers who have an active account in good standing (not valid for new construction)
  • Purchases are to be made between January 1, 2017 and December 20, 2017
  • Online rebate claim is submitted within 15 days of purchase or installation of qualifying product
  • Supporting documentation is postmarked within 30 days of purchase or installation
  • Maximum annual rebate per service address cannot exceed $3,000

Water Heater CONVERSION Rebate
$400 - Tank Style Water Heater Conversion 
$500 – Tankless Water Heater Conversion

Rebate applies to qualifying natural gas water heaters installed to replace an existing water heater purchased from any Tennessee contractor licensed and certified to install natural gas water heaters. This offer is only valid for residential customers previously using propane or electric water heating or “heat only” or “seasonal” residential customers who are converting to a natural gas water heater from an alternative source such as electricity or propane, and who have a current gas account in good standing with Chattanooga Gas, which provides natural gas service. Purchases must be made between January 1, 2017 and December 20, 2017. Installation must be completed in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and building codes imposed by federal, state and local authorities. Online rebate claim must be submitted within 15 days of purchase or installation of qualifying product. Supporting documentation must be postmarked within 30 days of purchase or installation of qualifying product. No exceptions. HVAC dealers and plumbers are responsible for submitting rebate directly to Chattanooga Gas within the time frame established for the program. Maximum annual rebate value per service address for all Chattanooga Gas residential water heater rebate promotions is $3,000. Offer valid for remodeling or renovation of pre-existing residential buildings in the Chattanooga Gas service territory only. Offer not valid for new construction. Employees of Chattanooga Gas, dealers and retailers are eligible to participate in this offer so long as they meet all other criteria. Please allow at least eight weeks after your completed claim (including supporting documentation as required per offer) is received to receive your rebate. Rebates will be paid in U.S. dollars. Chattanooga Gas is not responsible for lost, late, damaged, postage due, misdelivered or misdirected mail and incomplete or illegible submissions. All entries become the property of Chattanooga Gas. Chattanooga Gas reserves the right to withdraw or terminate this offer at any time upon reasonable notice posted on our website at www.chattanoogagas.com or by informing our retail and dealer partners, and providing documentation that clearly communicates end dates for purchases. You must provide all the information requested in the online submission form and deliver supporting documentation as required in order to be eligible, including a copy of proof of purchase (receipt or invoice) and proof of installation (installation invoice). Incomplete entries will not be processed and will not be returned. Chattanooga Gas reserves the right to substantiate sales receipts, serial numbers and installation information, and to request additional documentation. Physical inspection for verification of claims may be required. Product may not be returned for full purchase price once the rebate has been fulfilled. Rebate will be fulfilled via a check. Event rebate offer expires for this submission if rebate check is not cashed within 90 days of check date. By submitting a claim, you consent to our collection, use and disclosure of the information contained in it, together with any information you may subsequently provide to us, to any person or entity for the purpose of processing this form or responding to your requests and for internal business purposes in accordance with our privacy policy.
