Service Visit Information

For the safety of our customers and our employees, Chattanooga Gas requires that a customer or authorized representative, 18 years of age or older, must be present when our field service representative enters a home or business to perform work or safety checks.

Pets must be stowed. Pets should be safely secured in a location as to not interfere with field technicians inspection of the gas meter, all appliances (electric and gas), and any necessary gas lines.

Clear and safe access to all appliances is required. This can include the following:

• Unlocked attics and crawl spaces
• Sufficient clearance around appliances and the meter that will permit a thorough inspection
• Safe ladder access to elevated areas where appliances are located
