How can I receive assistance with my natural gas bill?

We have several programs to assist our customers with their natural gas bill in time of need. Visit our Energy Assistance page for more information and eligibility requirements.

How can I save on my natural gas bill?

Weatherization is one of the easiest ways to make your home more energy efficient. Lower your energy costs by weatherizing your property, using natural gas appliances and conducting seasonal check-ups to keep your home at peak efficiency. Visit Ways to Save for additional energy saving tips.

I need a contractor. Can you provide a recommendation or referral?

Customers are encouraged to use our Find a Contractor tool to locate a recommended qualified natural gas contractor in your area.

Are there any rebates available for natural gas products and appliances?

You can earn up to $3,000 in rebates when converting to new natural gas appliances. Review a list of energy efficient natural gas appliance and instructions on how to apply for rebates here.

Do you offer discounts or assistance for senior citizens?

Do you have to come in my home to relight my service?

Yes, our technician would need to enter your home to restore your natural gas service. Chattanooga Gas requires that a customer or authorized representative, 18 years of age or older, must be present during the time of service.

Who do I need to contact to add an additional service line to my home?

For an additional service line to your home, please complete a service request form.

Important Reminder: Call 811 before you dig!

Before starting any outdoor projects, be sure to call 811! A technician will mark your underground utility lines. Marking utility lines helps to avoid any potential damage during your project. This service is free and is required by law.

Anytime you notice a distinctive rotten egg odor or suspect you may have a gas leak, please call us at 866-643-4170 or dial 911 once you are out of the area of the suspected leak. Be sure to stay away from the affected area until Chattanooga Gas or safety personnel indicate it is safe to return.
